I’m not a successful investor. My excuse is that I haven’t been doing this for very long. I write this blog because it’s good for me to have a side hustle. I also hope this blog will become a viable source of income someday. For now, it’s a way for me to battle my urge to be an ideas guy and never do anything.
It’s my opinion that there are several parts of your life that you need to have a good handle on to be a well-rounded successful person. I don’t want to be rich and be sick, or be poor and in great shape. I, do, however, place an order of importance on this healthy, wealthy, wise discussion. The order is this: health before wealth. Oh, and I include healthy and wise in the same category because your brain is part of your body and I don’t believe in the mind-body dichotomy.
So health (physical and mental) is more important than wealth. So while I have no money to speak of, I’m focusing on improving myself through things like this blog. I’ve written about money being day to day life energy and its relationship with your time before. This is an extension of that discussion. Money’s utility is in its ability to drain away your life or give it back to you. You must learn to control it but it is not the end in itself. Health is.
Getting your health boots on means getting your body in check, getting your brain in gear and being a positive force in your loved ones lives’.
